Gallery description: The pictures in this before and after gallery are generally shown with the before depiction to the left of, or above, the after depiction. When helpful to show how the outside appearance of the building is improved with the renovation, pictures are provided with inside depiction shown on the left and outside on the right, or vice versa.

In most situations the trend for windows is to change from dark to lighter colored trims, and to provide a new energy-efficient structure with double panes and tighter seals. Windows that are opened by sliding the bottom half up, are commonly replacing windows that are opened outward using a lever. Windows can also provide natural light when added to doors and entryways, or to spans of windowless exterior walls, such as in a garage.
